Psychoanalytic Human Development: From Birth to Adolescence

In this workshop the developmental stages from childhood through adolescence will be examined. Attention will be paid to understanding the intergenerational transmission of trauma and the “confusion of tongues” between adults and children.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Examine the first and second separation-individuation process.
  2. Recognize elements of therapeutic action at different stages of development.
  3. Identify the web of conflict between parent, child (attacks on linking) and siblings.

Workshop Leader:

Jodi Kosofsky is a New York licensed psychoanalyst and New Jersey certified psychoanalyst and a member of the Training Board and faculty at NJI.
