  • Fee: $50 per workshop · $90 for both
  • Continuing Education: 1.5 credits for NJ social workers and NBCC clock hours for licensed professional counselors for each workshop.

Part A: In this workshop traditional psychoanalytic and experiential approaches to dreams will be presented.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Although hidden, dreams have meanings
  2. A dream’s meaning is relevant to the dreamer’s life.
  3. Psychoanalytic findings provide replicable methods for discovering a dream’s meaning.

Part B: In this workshop, participants will share their associations to actual dreams to explore their meaning.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Explain how Montague Ullman’s method of understanding dreams differs from traditional psychoanalytic approaches.
  2. Understand the use of metaphors in dreams.
  3. Understand the use of symbols in dreams.

Workshop Leaders:

Suzanne Saldarini has led numerous workshops on dreams and is a certified psychoanalyst and licensed professional counselor who recently retired from her private practice. She is Chair of New Jersey Institute’s Membership Organization (MONJI) and a faculty member at NJI.

Leah Slivko is a certified social worker and psychoanalyst who has taught courses in dreams at various psychoanalytic conferences and institutes. She is Chair of NJI’s Executive Board and a faculty member at NJI.
