Courses are on Zoom and all participants must be professional about one another’s time and space. Cameras must be turned on and participants should mute themselves while others are presenting their thoughts. Additionally, case discussions and any other discussions that might contain confidential clinical information (or other sensitive information) must never be disclosed outside of the class meeting. It is imperative that all participants (1) find a place in which to log in to the class that is private and in which you and others cannot be overheard and (2) refrain from discussion of the above-mentioned confidential or sensitive information outside of the class meeting.
ADA accommodations are available upon request. Requests must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the course or program start date. Please email your request to info@njinstitute.com
For courses that are offering CEUs, in order to earn continuing education credit, attendees must log in at the scheduled time, attend the entire course/class for the full time period, and submit the online course evaluation. All required assignments must be completed.
NJI provides lively and fully interactive courses through Zoom. Our classes are small, which allows all participants to learn from each other and benefit from the instructor. Candidates can meet with their classmates and instructors at in-person events such as open houses. Instructors are available via zoom, phone, or email.
Distance education courses must meet the same standards as in-person training. Faculty must demonstrate competency in online teaching methods. Distance learning students have access to the same academic and student support services as in-person students.
NJI hires technical support to assure professional online education experience.
The system requirements for students are:
The Institute ensures students and faculty have access to current and relevant psychoanalytic literature. Library resources include physical books, electronic databases, and research materials.
The institute updates its collection annually to reflect new developments in psychoanalysis.
The institute follows FERPA requirements and retains student records for a minimum of seven years after graduation or withdrawal. Records include transcripts, evaluations, and supervision logs. Records are securely stored and released only with written student consent.
The Institute provides a clear and equitable tuition refund policy for students who withdraw from courses or the program. Refunds will be processed based on the following schedule:
If a candidate withdraws before the 4th class, ½ of the associated tuition will be refunded. (This excludes the registration fee of $115). After the 4th class session, there is no refund. Monies paid for classes if a candidate withdraws from the program after the 4th class will be applied as a credit should the candidate return to NJI.
